Upcoming Game Nights: - 4/27, 5/11, 5/25, 6/8: 6:30-9pm

The game group meets again this Saturday. We had lots of different games played last time. There was something for everyone and all ages. Come check out what happens this Saturday.
From time to time I might try share a little from the gaming world. This time I'm going to feature the popular Worker Placement mechanic. Some popular worker placement that have been featured at the Crossroads Game Group are: Stone Age, Kingsburg, Agricola, and Lords of Waterdeep. Come try one out. They are fun!
Worker placement games feature a number of pieces that each player uses to identify actions they wish to perform. These pieces are called workers and are often in the shape of little people.
Usually there is a limited number of spaces for users to play and thus some players may not get the opportunity to perform all of the actions that they want until a later turn because they've run out of workers or all spaces for that action are filled. When each player has placed their workers and the associated actions are performed then a new round begins. This is typically repeated until the end of the game.
Worker Placement games allow for a lot of interesting choices and those choices are usually made clear right on the game board and not just buried in a rule book. Players also typically only have to make one decision at a time instead of doing many things at once. These games also typically have strong themes and the artwork and components are often beautiful and help draw you into the game as you send your little workers out to do their jobs.
