Upcoming Game Night: 7/18 6:30-9pm (also 8/15, 8/29, 9/12)

The Game Group is back for the second week in a row. Come check us out and try a new game.

How about the new Baseball Highlights 2045? It's the future and robots and cyborgs are taking over the baseball diamond. Come build your team, send out your best hitters, and win the World Series.

Last week we played Paperback a cross between a word game and a deck building game. Build words to score points you use to buy other letters that help you to build bigger words with better scores and so on. Am I making that sound fun? Well it is?

We also got in a couple of hot 3D games. Why do I call them 3D games? Because you don't play on a board with a train on it in Colt Express. Your bandits are moved from car to car and up to the roof on an actual little train in this game of the year winner. In North Wind you don't have a board that looks like a ship, you actually build a ship and all of your resources, crewmen, and captive pirates are placed on the ship. These games look great and play great.

Due to a special request we are adding another game night for THIS SATURDAY, 7/11 from 6:30-9pm.

Come check out the 2015 Spiel des Jahres winner, Colt Express. This is the biggest award in board gaming, so it ought to be good. We've had some fun with getting to play western train robbers in this 3D train game. It's a simple game and looks great.

We'll have the other nominees available as well so come see if Machi Koro should have won, or try out the generically named, but fun co-op called The Game.
